After playing viewer for long duration it crashes showing an error message that points to flash9f.ocx flash plug in. This is because of the compatibility mismatch between the flash plug in and the the browser you are using it with.

After searching on various forums one of the common possibilities for this error seems to be the upgrade to Internet Explorer 7 from Internet Explorer 6 OR vice-verse. User upgrades from IE6 (which already has flash plug in installed) to IE7. This could have corrupt the flash plug in in registry values.

We have not faced any such issues in Firefox. The immediate workaround would be to switch to Firefox for playing the locations. Please install the the Firefox full screen plug in to play the location in full screen mode in Firefox.

If Internet Explorer is the priority, below are some links to the forums which may help you. They talk about a clean installation of flash plugin.

1. Go to this Microsoft forum thread and search for 15 Jun 2008, 11:12 PM UTC comment. Follow the steps mentioned in the comment. It worked for few users. It might work for you.
2. Another possible resolution posted at this Google forum thread. Search for ‘Aug 4, 8:32′ and refer the comments. A user posted this comment after getting through with this bug.

InfoSignz scheduler gives you variety of options like scheduling for a minute, any specific day, days within a date range, a week, a date every month or a day every year. To make it even better it comes to you with a very cool interface with drag-drop feature for rich user experience. Lets see what are the different options to schedule screens/designs and create a playlist with them.

• Everyday: If you want to show the contents everyday for a specific range of time, this is the option you are looking for. Take for example you want to show a Good Morning screen at your office’s reception between 9 to 10 every morning. Drag and drop Good Morning screen to the playlist, choose everyday option, select start time as 09:00 and end time 10:00, click OK. When this playlist will play on the display source at your reception, the Good Morning screen will show up every morning from 9 to 10.

• Date range – Everyday: Despite of showing your screen/design every day if you want to display it for a specific date range, you can do it using this option. Take for example if you have promotional offer for 15 days for one of the products at your store. Create a screen/design for the offer. Add this screen to playlist and choose Date range – Everyday option. Specify the start date say 25-Oct-08, end date say 10-Nov-08, start time as 14:00 and end time as 18:00. Click OK to add the screen. Now when this playlist will play at your target location, the promotional offer screen will show up from 14:00 to 18:00 everyday between 25-Oct to 10-Nov. This way you can attract customers in your store to the promotional offer for your product.

• One day: If you want to show the contents between a specific time line just for one day you can select this option. For example you can use it on screens in the stadiums for the preview of the matches. If it’s USA you would like to go for baseball. Similarly in Europe it could be soccer and for India you’d  definitely like to go for cricket

• Weekly: If you want to show the screen specific to a weekend or weekdays or any day of the week you can go for this option. Add the screen in the playlist. Choose weekly option. You will see the check boxes placed beside days. Select the days you wish to show your screen on. Select the start and end time. And click OK. For example you can use this option to show the movie previews on your signage screens at the multiplexes.

• Date range – Weekly: This is an extension of weekly option. If you want to show the contents for the weekends over a date range you can do that with this option. Take for example you create a screen and name it as Movie Previews. You want to show this screen over a couple of weekends. Add this screen to the playlist. Select date range weekly option. Select the checkboxes for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Select the start date as 26-Sep-08 and end date 5-Oct-08. Select start time as 12:00 and end time as 21:00. And click OK. When you will play this playlist on your signage screen at a movie theater, it will show the screen over the two specified weekends.

• Monthly: You can go for this option if you would like to show some contents on a specific date of every month. Just add the screen and specify date and time to show. Take for example you can create a special offer screen for a particular product and name it as the product of the month. In corporate offices you can create a playlist with this option to declare and honor the employee of the month or some other awards/declarations.

• Yearly: You can choose this option to show content once every year. Just add the screen and specify date and time. Easiest of implementations could be showing up signage screens created for festivals or holidays. These type of screen designs can serve different purpose in different industries like retail, public spaces, corporate offices, shopping malls and all that jazz.

• Default: This is an option which is mandatory to create a playlist in InfoSignz. Screen added with this option will play when there is not other screen scheduled. That ways the location or your signage screen is never left blank and shows the contents. This option lets you utilize the most out of your signage screen by showing content every moment if nothing else is scheduled.

These are the various options available in InfoSignz with the help of which you can schedule your contents in a playlist. When you play this playlist the screens/contents/designs would change automatically base upon the schedule they are saved with.
